San Javier is a small historic town located in the Sierra de La Giganta, about 35 km (around 40-50 minutes) southwest of Loreto, Baja California Sur. It's famous for being home to the San Francisco Javier de Viggé-Biaundó Mission, considered "the jewel of the missions" and the best preserved on the peninsula.
